Logistics & AV Requirements

For a great presentation, please read the following:

1. If your group is over fifty in number or is seated over a large area, Marty will need a handheld, cordless microphone.

2. No lectern or podium is needed. Marty can stage on a stage or platform if you like; please make sure there is room for him to walk on the stage and into the audience.

3. Most presentations require an LCD computer (PowerPoint) projector and a screen. We will let you know if they are not required.

4. Please give Marty an upbeat, positive introduction. We will send you one that you can use. If at all possible, save your announcements and other business until after Marty’s speech.

5. If you are serving alcohol, allow Marty to speak before people get too far along.

6. Please arrange to have the audience seated closely together, and close to the speaker; when they are seated far apart, it’s more difficult for people to feel involved and energized. For large groups, please set the chairs up in a chevron pattern. Seating people around tables is also fine, but please do not arrange it so some audience members have their backs to the speaker.

7. Taking one or two photographs at the beginning of the presentation is fine, but please shoot any other photos after the presentation, when they can be posed. Taking photographs can be distracting to the audience.

Thank you!
